    ٢٠٦٤ - (¬١) -[الأهوازي] علي بن أحمد بن عبدان بن محمد بن الفرج الأهوازي الشيخ الجليل الحافظ المحدّث ابن المحدّث، شيخ فاضل أديب كاتب ثقة مشهور. سمّعه أبوه الحديث الكثير، وحدّث سنين بالجبال وخراسان ونيسابور وسجستان وغيرها من البلدان، وهو راوية مسند أحمد بن عبيد الصفار الذي سمعه منه كل الأئمة والصدور [ممن دبّ ودرج] (¬٢). حدّث عن والده أبي بكر أحمد بن عبدان الحافظ الشيرازي، وعن أبي الحسن أحمد بن عبيد بن إسماعيل الصفار وطبقتهم. توفي بنيسابور في شهر ربيع الآخر سنة خمس عشرة وأربع مئة.
