    ٣ - محمد (¬٤) بن أحمد بن حيَّان الشاطبي.[توفي] (¬١) يوم الجمعة حادي عشر شهر رجب سنة ٧١٨. أجاز لقاضي القضاة، أنشدنا قاضي القضاة عز الدين، قال: أنشدنا المحدِّث أبو عبد الله محمد بن أحمد بن أمين الآقْشَهري، قال: أنشدني الحافظ أبو عبد الله محمد بن أحمد بن حيَّان الأوسي المقرئ، قال قاضي القضاة: وأنشدني ابن حيَّان المذكور إجازة في طنين الأذن: [الوافر] طنين الأذن فافهم ففيه سرٌّ … هما نوعان يحلوا أو يَمَرُّ بظهر الغيب يذكر في كلام … بخير أو بشرِ إذ يَمُرُّ فإن طنَّ اليمين فذاك خيرٌ … وإن طنَّ الشمال فذاك شرٌّ عسى المولى تعالى أن يقينا … بلطفٍ منه من يخشى بضرّ
