    ٤٠٠ - على بن أبى غالب بن على بن غيلان، البغدادى، الأزجى القطيعى، الفرضى المعدل، موفق الدين أبو الحسن. ولد فى ذى الحجة، سنة ثلاث وستمائة، وسمع من ابن المنى وغيره، وأجاز له غير واحد. وتفقه. وقرأ الفرائض، وشهد عند القاضى أبى الفضل بن اللمعانى. وكان من أعيان العدول. وكان خيرا، كثير التلاوة. حدث وأجاز لشيخنا صفى الدين بن عبد المؤمن بن عبد الحق، وعلى بن عبد الصمد. وتوفى يوم السبت ثالث شوال سنة أربع وسبعين وستمائة، ودفن بقبر الإمام أحمد.
