[٩٠٠] معبد (¬١) بن جمعة بن خاقان الأديب المطوعي الطبري. قال الحاكم: كان من أهل طبرستان، سكن جرجان ثم نيسابور، وحدّث عن محمد بن أيوب العجلي ومُطَيَّن ويوسف القاضي وأبي خليفة وأبي عبد الرحمن النسائي، وكان يخالَف في بعض حديثه، توفي سنة إحدى وأربعين وثلاثمائة.
