[٨٧٤] محمد بن [] (¬٢) موسى [بن] (¬٣) الحسين (¬٤) بن [جعفر] (¬٥) الثعلبي (¬٦)، أبو الحسن الكوفي. [ب و] قال الحاكم: أبو الحسن الكوفي الشاعر النسّابة، ورد علينا نيسابور سنةخمسين وثلاثمائة، وكان يكثر الكون عند أبي أحمد التميمي، وكان من أحفظ الناس لأيام الناس وأخبارهم وأشعار المتقدمين والمتأخرين، ثم إنه خرج إلى بخارى وتوفي بها، [ب] وذاك أن أبا الأصبغ أخبرني أنه دفنه في مقبرة بقرب سعيد بن نصر الأندلسي. سمع أبا العباس بن سعيد بن عقدة وأبا عبد الله الحسين بن إسماعيل القاضي وأبا بكر محمد بن يحيى الصولي وأقرانهم، وتوفي ببخارى سنة ثلاث وخمسين وثلاثمائة.
