[٨٠٦] مخمد بن الفضل بن محمد الكرابيسي، أبو أحمد الورّاق، وكان منالمعروفين بطلب الحديث في الشرق والغرب. قال الحاكم: وكان من المعروفين في طلب الحديث في الشرق والغرب، فأما أبوه فكرابيسي، وهو يورّق على باب الأصم، وقد حدّث، سمع بنيسابور وبغداد والجزيرة والشام ومصر، وبعد قعوده عن الرحلة خرج إلى سرخس وكتب مصنفات الدغولي، وخرج إلى هراة وكتب عن الباساني وأقرانه، توفي يوم الاثنين العاشر من شهر ربيع الآخر سنة ثمان وأربعين وثلاثمائة.
