[٧٠٤] محمَّد بن حسّان، أبو منصور القرشي المصنف النيسابوري. قال الحاكم: كان من أفقه أصحاب أبيه الأستاذ أبي الوليد، وكان يصوم صوم داود قريبًا من ثلاثين سنة، وسمع الحديث الكثير، وصنّف كتابًا في "الرد على كتاب الرياضة". سمع أبا العباس محمَّد بن إسحاق وأبا العباس الماسرجسي والمؤمل بنالحسن وغيرهم. واستشهد؛ وذاك أنَّه كان منصرفًا من عيد الأضحى فرفسته دابة فوقع في بئر، وحمل إلى منزله وغشي عليه، ثم توفي غداة يوم الأحد آخر أيام التشريق من سنة سبع وستين وثلاثمائة، ودفن بجنب أبيه.
