[غ ب] قال الحاكم: سمع أبا بكر محمَّد بن محمَّد بن سليمان الباغندي ببغداد، وعلي بن العباس البجلي ومحمد بن الحسين الخثعمي بالكوفة، وغيرهم. [غ ب] كان من المشهورين بطلب الحديث والسماع ببغداد بالثروة واليسار، ثم إنَّه احتاج في هذه الديار وتغير، فكان يورّق في آخر عمره، إلى أن توفي بنيسابور سنة خمسين وثلاثمائة.
