[٦٨٦] محمد بن الحسين (¬١) بن داود بن علي، أبو علي الحسني النيسابوري العلوي ﵁. [ص] قال الحاكم: كان باب الشرف في عصره، حسن الشأن، ذا مروءة وإحسان إلى أهل الدين والتقوى، متقرِّبًا إليهم، مستكثرًا منهم. [ص] سمع أبا حامد ابن بلال وأبا بكر القطّان في طبقته قبل الأصمّ. [ص ت س] توفي في شعبان سنة ثلاث وتسعين وثلاثمائة بنيسابور. [س] عاش نيّفًا وسبعين سنة. [ص] وصلى عليه أخوه السيدُ أبو الحسن.
