[٦١٧] محمد بن أحمد بن حسنويه العارف [٤٩/ أ] الزاهد أبو أحمد الحسنوي النيسابوري، من كبار مشايخ التصوف، مدفون في مقبرة شاهنبر. قال الحاكم: سمع بنيسابور أبا بكر محمد بن إسحاق بن خزيمة وأبا العباس محمد بن إسحاق السّرّاج وأقرانهما. [كان] من كبار مشايخ التصوف ذا لسان وبيان، وكان ختن أبي أحمد الحافظ على أخته، وكان مقدّمًا في معاني القرآن، وتوفي في جمادى الأولى سنة خمس وسبعين وثلاثمائة، وصلى عليه أبو أحمد الحافظ، ودفن في مقبرة شاهنبر، وكان ابتدأ سورة الفتح، وخرجت روحه وهو يقرأ.
