[٤٩٩] علي بن عبد العزيز القاضي الجرجاني. قال الحاكم: ورد نيسابور سنة سبع وثلاثين وثلاثمائة مع أخيه أبي بكر، وأخوه إذ ذاك فقيهٌ مناظر، وأبو الحسن قد ناهز الحُلُم، فسمعا معًا الحديث الكبير (¬١)، ولم يزل أبو الحسن يتقدم إلى أن ذُكِر في الدنيا، وحُملِ تابوته إلى جرجان فدُفِن بها، وصلّى عليه القاضي أبو الحسن عبد الجبار بن أحمد، وحضر جنازته الوزير الخطير أبو علي القاسم بن علي بن القاسم وزير مجد الدولة وأبو الفضل العارض راجلين، ووقع الاختيار بعد موته على أبي موسى عيسى بن أحمد الديلمي، فاستُدْعي من قزوين، وولِّي قضاء القضاة بالرّي.
