[٣٧٧] عبد الله بن محمد بن أحمد بن حيان (¬١) القاضي، أبو الطيب بن قورس (¬٢) النيسابوري. [ب ت] قال الحاكم: كان ولي قضاء طوس مرة بعد أخرى، وكان من أصحاب أبي علي الثقفي المتحقّقين بالأخذ عنه، سمع أبا بكر محمد بن إسماعيل بن مهران، وأبا الحسن مسدد بن قطن القشيري، وأبا يعقوب يوسف بن موسى المروروذي، وأبا إسحاق إبراهيم بن إسحاق الأنماطي، وأقرانهم، طبقة قبل الإمام أبي بكر بن خزيمة. خرّجت له الفوائد سنة خمسين وثلاثمائة (¬٣). [ب] وخرج إلى الحج وحدَّث بتلك الديار، ثم توفي ليلة الاثنين وقت العتمة، ودفن يوم الاثنين الحادي عشر من شعبان سنة ست وخمسين وثلاثمائة، ودُفِن في داره في سكة حرب (¬٤).
