[٢٨٤] خلف بن محمد الواسطي، أبو محمد. [ك حلب] قال الحاكم: كان من الحفاظ، قدم نيسابور سنة إحدى وسبعين وثلاثمائة، فسمع من مشايخنا، ثم دخل مرو وهراة، وانصرف إلينا مدة، ولنا به أُنس، ثم انصرف إلى العراق، وثبت على طلب الحديث، ودخل الشام ومصر، وورد عليّ كتابه وقد أخذ لي جملة من الإجازات بأحاديث استفدتها. [ك ت س] وكان حافظًا لحديث شعبة وغيره.
