[٨٣] أحمد بن محمد بن الحسين الطوسي، أبو تراب الواعظ النوقاني. قال الحاكم: هو والد أبي بكر المسافري النوقاني. حدَّث بنيسابور غير مرة بعد أن نظرت في حديثه بالنوقان. سمع بخراسان إبراهيم بن إسماعيل العنبري وتميم بن محمد الطوسيَّين ومحمد بن المنذر شكر، وببغداد أحمد بن الحسن بن عبد الجبار الصوفي وحامد بن شعيب البلخي. حدثني ابنه أبو بكر أنه توفي في النوقان سنة تسع وأربعين وثلاثمائة.
