[٧٨] أحمد بن محمد بن سهل، أبو الحسن بن سهلويه المزكي النيسابوري، شيخ أهل الرأي في عصره. [مض ح] قال الحاكم: كان شيخ أصحاب أبي حنيفة في عصره، امتنع عن التحديث إلا بأحاديث يسيرة.[مض] روى عن جده أبي يحيى البزار في تصنيفه وقرأه على الناس، حدثني أبو الحسن أحمد بن محمد بن سهل - وأنا سألته - … (¬١). [مض ح] توفي يوم الأربعاء لخمس خلون من شوّال سنة اثنتين وخمسين وثلاثمائة، وهو ابن خمس وتسعين سنة.
