    ١٤٣٧ - الأسود بْن يزيد النخعي الكوفِي أَبُو عَمْرو سَمِعَ أبا بكر وعُمَر، قَالَ أَبُو نعيم مات الأسود سنة خمس وسبعين (١) ، وقَالَ لي عثمان بْن مُحَمَّد سمعت ابا نعميم: قال الاسود بن يزيد إنى لا ذكر ليلة بني علي أم علقمة بْن قيس، والأسود خال إبراهيم، قَالَ لي ابْن أَبِي الأسود حَدَّثَنَا حميد بْن الأسود عَنِ ابْن عون عَنِ الشَّعْبِيّ: كَانَ الأسود صواما قواما حجاجا وكَانَ علقمة يبطئ ويدرك السريع، قَالَ أبو نعيمعلقمة عم الأسود. (ومن أفناء الناس - ١) .
