    (٨٦٦) وأخوه لأبويه: نفيع (¬٧) بن المعلّى (¬٨).ولد: -الشموس، تزوجها: ابن عمها عتبة بن عبيد بن المعلّى. -وأم الحارث، تزوجها: أبو عيّاش عبيد بن معاوية بن صامت بن زيد بن خلدة بن عامر بن زريق، فولدت له: أم سعيد، وغيرها. أمهما: أم ولد. قال ابن سعد: وكان لعبيد بن المعلّى، أخ من أبيه وأمه، يقال له: نفيع، يذكرون أنه أسلم بعد قدوم النبي ﷺ المدينة، فمر برجل من مزينة (¬١)، حليف لبعض الأوس، وهو ببطحان فقتله. وقال ابن الكلبي (¬٢): أسلم نفيع، قبل أن يقدم النبي ﷺ المدينة، فضربه رجل من مزينة، حليف للأوس، فقتله وهو ببطحان (¬٣)، من أجل ما كان بين الأوس والخزرج، فكان أول قتيل في الإسلام من الأنصار. وشهد: رافع.
