(٧٢٣ - ٧٢٤) وابن عمه: خليد (¬٤) بن قيس بن النّعمان بن سنان بن عبيد (¬٥). وأمه: أدام بنت القين بن كعب بن سواد بن غنم كعب بن سلمة. هكذا قال محمّد بن إسحاق (¬٦)، ومحمّد بن عمر (¬٧): خليد (¬٨). وقال موسى بن عقبة (¬٩)، وأبو معشر: خليدة بن قيس (¬١٠). وقال غيرهما: هو خالد بن قيس (¬١١).وقد شهد معه أيضا بدرا؛ أخ (¬١) له من أبيه يقال له: خلاّدا (¬٢). ولم يذكر موسى بن عقبة، ومحمّد بن إسحاق، وأبو معشر، ومحمّد بن عمر، خلاد، فيمن شهد بدرا، ولا أظنه بثبت!. وشهد خليد بن قيس: بدرا، وأحدا (¬٣)، وتوفي وليس له عقب.
