    ٨١٠٣- معاوية الثقفيّ: من الأحلاف. ذكر الطّبريّ أنه كان على بني عقيل إذا أعانوا فيروز الديلميّ على استنقاذ عياله من أهل الردة صدر أيام أبي بكر الصديق، وكذا ذكر سيف، وقال: إنه استنقذهم من قيس بن عبد يغوث قبل قتل الأسود العنسيّ، ونسبه عقيليا، وكأنه من عقيل ثقيف. وقد تقدم التنبيه على أن من كان شهد الحروب في أيام أبي بكر وما قاربها من قريش وثقيف يكون معدودا في الصحابة، لأنهم شهدوا حجة الوداع.
