    [٥٥] عبد الله بن عمر بن الخطاب كنيته أبو عبد الرحمن كان مولده قبل الوحي بسنة لم يشهد بدرا وعرض على رسول الله ﷺ يوم أحد وهو بن أربع عشرة سنة فلم يجزه ولم يره بلغ ثم عرض عليه يوم الخندق وهو بن خمس عشرة فأجازه وكان من صالحي الصحابة وقرائهم وزهادهم ولم يشتغل في هذه الدنيا بالصفراء ولا بالتمتع بالبيضاء ولا ضم درهما إلى درهم وكان من أكثرهم تتبعا لآثار رسول الله ﷺ وأكثرهم استعمالا لها اعتزل الفتن وقعد في البيت عن الناس إلا أن يخرج حاجا أو معتمرا أو غازيا إلا أن أدركته المنية على حالته تلك بمكة وهو حاج سنة ثلاث وسبعين وبها دفن رضه
