[٣٧] البراء بن مالك بن النضر النجاري الخزرجي وهو أخو أنس بن مالك من صالحي الانصار ومتقشفيهم قال النبي ﷺ رب أشعث اغبر ذي طمرين لا يوبه له لو أقسم على الله لابره منهم البراء بن مالك خرج البراء غازيا فلقى زحفا من المشركين بناحية السوس فقاتلهم فيمن معه من المسلمين فقالوا يا براء ان رسول الله ﷺ قال لو اقسمت على الله لابرك فأقسم على ربك فقال اقسمت عليك يا رب لما منحتنا اكتافهم فمنحوا اكتافهم وقتل البراء شهيدا وذلك سنة ثلاث وعشرين
