    ومن «كتاب الأدب» حديث النواس بن سمعان الأنصاري: سألت رسول الله ﷺ عن البر والإثم، الحديث. هكذا نسب في هذا الإسناد: الأنصاري، والمشهور فيه: النواس الكلابي، من بني أبي بكر بن كلاب، [إلا أن يكون حليفاً للأنصار. وهو النواس بن سمعان بن خالد بن عمرو بن قريط بن عبد بن أبي بكر ابن كلاب]، هكذا نسبه المفضل بن غسان الغلابي، عن يحيى بن معين.
