    وفي «فضل جرير بن عبد الله» حديث إسماعيل بن أبي خالد، عن قيس، عن جرير: حيث بعثه رسول الله ﷺ إلى ذي الخلصة. وفي آخره قال: فجاء بشير جريرٍ أبو أرطأة حصين بن ربيعة يبشر النبي ﷺ. في بعض النسخ: حسين بن ربيعة -بالسين-، وكذا وقع عند الجلودي والكسائي ورواتهما، وليس بشيء. ووقع عند ابن ماهان وحده: حصين بالصاد المهملة، وهو الصواب.
