ومن باب «الجمع بين الصلاتين في السفر» قال مسلم: حدثني أبو الطاهر وعمرو بن سواد، قالا: أنا ابن وهب، قال: حدثني جابر بن إسماعيل، عن عقيل، عن ابن شهاب،عن أنس، عن النبي ﷺ أنه كان إذا عجل به السير يؤخر الظهر إلى وقت العصر. هكذا روي هذا الإسناد مجوداً، وفي نسخة أبي العلاء بن ماهان: «أخبرنا ابن وهب، حدثني إسماعيل، عن عقيل». وهذا وهمٌ، إنما هو جابر بن إسماعيل، شيخ لابن وهب، مصري. ووقع في بعض النسخ أيضاً: «ابن وهب عن حاتم بن إسماعيل». وليس بشيء.
