    وفي «كتاب الحوض» ذكر فيه حديث الزهري، عن سعيد بن المسيب، عن أبي هريرة، أنهكان يحدث أن رسول الله ﷺ قال: «يرد علي الحوض رجالٌ من أمتي فيحلؤون عنه». وذكر اختلاف أصحاب الزهري عليه في إسناد هذا الحديث. وفي بعض طرقه، قال الزبيدي: عن الزهري، عن محمد بن علي، عن عبيد الله بن أبي رافع، عن أبي هريرة، عن النبي ﷺ. كذا رويناه عن أبي علي بن السكن: عبيد الله بن أبي رافع، عن أبي هريرة. وفي نسخة أبي محمد، وأبي الحسن: عبد الله بن أبي رافع -بتكبير عبد الله-، وهو وهم. ورواية ابن السكن أولى بالصواب، وكذلك خرجه أبو مسعود الدمشقي من حديث عبيد الله بن أبي رافع.
