وفي «باب تسليم الماشي على القاعد» ذكر فيه حديثاً لابن جريج، قال: أخبرني زياد، أن ثابتاً أخبره -وهو مولى عبد الرحمن بن زيد-، عن أبي هريرة .. .. ». هكذا روي عن ابن السكن، وأبي زيد. وفي نسخة [أبي محمد، عن] أبي أحمد: ثابت مولى عبد الرحمنابن يزيد، بزيادة ياء في الاسم، وهو وهم. والصواب: زيد، وهو ثابت الأحنف، مولى عبد الرحمن بن زيد ابن الخطاب، وزياد الذي روى عنه هو: زياد بن سعد.
