وفي باب: «من لم ير الوضوء إلا من المخرجين قال البخاري: حدثنا سعد بن حفص، قال نا شيبان، عن يحيى، عن أبي سلمة، عن عطاء بن يسار عن زيد بن خالد: أنه سأل عثمان ابن عفان .. .. وقع في نسخة أبي الحسن: حدثنا سعيد بن حفص. وهو وهم، والصواب: سعد، بسكون العين، وهو: سعد بن حفص الطلحي، كوفي من ولد طلحة بن عبيد الله. ومثل هذا في (كتاب الجهاد)، في باب: «فضل النفقة في سبيل الله»، قال فيه: نا سعد بن حفص، نا شيبان. وفي نسخة أبي الحسن القابسي: سعيد! وليس بشيء.
