ومنهم: محمد بن الصلت ومحمد بن الصلت كلاهما من شيوخ البخاري. فالأول منهما: محمد بن الصلت أبو جعفر الأسدي الكوفي، عن ابن المبارك، حدث عنه البخاري في مناقب عمر ﵁. والثاني: محمد بن الصلت أبو يعلى التوزي، وتوز من أرض فارس، سكن البصرة. عن الوليد بن مسلم، روى عنه حديثاً واحداً في كتاب المحاربين وقصة العرنيين.
