    مَخْلَدٌ ومُخَلَّدٌ (مَخْلَدٌ) بفتح الميم وسكون الخاء؛ كثير. و (مُخَلَّدٌ) بضم الميم وفتح الخاء وتشديد اللام، هو: مسلمة بن مُخَلَّد الأنصاري، ولد مقدم رسول الله ﷺ المدينة، ويقال: مات رسول الله ﷺ وهو ابن أربع عشرة سنةً، وشهد فتح مصر، ذكره مسلم بن الحجاج في حديثٍ وقع في آخر الجهاد عن عبد الرحمن بن شماسة المهري قال: كنت عند مسلمة بن مُخَلَّد وعنده عبد الله بن عمرو ابن العاصي، فقال عبد الله: «لا تقوم الساعة إلا على شرار الخلق»، وذكر الحديث.
