    كَرِيْز وكُرَيْز فـ (كَرِيْزٌ) بفتح الكاف وكسر الراء. طلحة بن عبيد الله بن كَرِيز، عن أم الدرداء، حدث عنه فضيل بن غزوان وموسى بن ثروان المعلم. والحديث: «من دعا لأخيه بظهر الغيب» انفرد مسلم بالرواية له. و (كُرَيْز) بضم الكاف وفتح الراء، هو: عبد الله بن عامر بن كريز بن حبيب بن عبد شمس بن عبد مناف، أتى ذكره في «الجامع» في كتاب الصلح، وكتاب الفتن، له صحبة. وأبو سعيد مولى عبد الله بن عامر بن كُرَيْز، يروي عن أبي هريرة، حدث عنه أسامة بن زيد، وداود بن قيس، انفرد مسلم بالرواية له. وكان محمد بن وضاح وغيره يفرق بين كَرِيز وكُرَيْز؛ يقول: كَرِيْز -بفتح الكاف- في خزاعة، وبضمها في بني عبد شمس بن عبد منافٍ.
