    كثيرٌ وكبيرٌ وكنيزٌ فـ (كثيرٌ) في المحدثين بالثاء المثلثة، وأبو كثير جماعة، منهم: أبو كثير الغبري، واسمه يزيد، عن أبي هريرة. وأبو كثير الجلاح، مولى عمر بن عبد العزيز، روى لهما مسلم، وقد مر ذكرهما. و (كبير) بباءٍ معجمة بواحدة مكسورة، هو: والد جنادة بن أبي أمية، واسمه: كبير، روى جنادة عن عبادة بن الصامت، حدث عنه بسر بن سعيد، وعيمر بن هانئٍ، رويا له. وكبير بن غنم بن دودان بن أسد بن خزيمة، في نسب زينب بنت جحشٍ وجماعةٍ من الصحابة، وغيرهم. و (كنيزٌ) بالنون والزاي والكاف مفتوحة، هو: جد عمرو بن علي بن بحر بن كنيز الفلاس، من شيوخ البخاري ومسلم.
