    ومن المنسوب في حرف القاف القري والقرني فـ (القري) بالقاف المضمومة وكسر الراء وشدها، هو: مسلم القري. قال البخاري هو: «مسلم بن مخراق مولى بني قرة، حيٌ من عبد القيس، سمع ابن عمر»، تفرد بالرواية له مسلم. وقال الدارقطني: «إنما قيل له: «القري» لأنه كان ينزل قنطرة قرة». قال عبد الله بن أحمد بن حنبل: حدثنا أبي، نا معاذٌ، نا ابن عونٍ، عن مسلم مولىً لعبد القيس، وكان شعبة يقول: القرني. و (القرني) بفتح القاف والراء بعدهما نون؛ هو: أويسٌ القرني الزاهد، منسوب إلى حيٍ من مرادٍ، وهو من قرنابن ردمان بن ناجية بن مراد. ذكر حديثه مسلم بن الحجاج.
