    عديٌ وعربيٌ فـ (عديٌ) بالدال المهملة؛ كثير، منهم: الزبير بن عدي أبو عدي الهمداني اليامي الكوفي، عن أنسٍ ومصعب بن سعدٍ وطلحة بن مصرفٍ، حدث عنه إسماعيل بن أبي خالدٍ ومالك بن مغولٍ وسفيان الثوري وعثمان بن زائدة الرازي. رويا له. و (عربيٌ) بالراء المهملة وبعدها باءٌ معجمةٌ بواحدةٍ، هو: الزبير بن عربي أبو سلمة بصريٌ، عن ابن عمر، حدث عنه حماد بن زيد. وسيأتي التمييز بين الزبير بن عدي والزبير بن عربي بعد هذاإن شاء الله. ويحيى بن حبيب بن عربي الحارثي، بصريٌ، من شيوخ مسلم، تفرد به.
