    الرافقي والواقفي فـ (الرافقي) بالراء المهملة وتقديم الفاء على القاف، هو: محمد بن خالد بن جبلة الرافقي، كان ينزل الرافقة، يقال: إن البخاري حدث عنه في «الجامع» عن عبيد الله بن موسى، ومحمد بن موسى بن أعين، وغيره، ذكره أبو أحمد بن عدي، ويقال: إنه محمدابن يحيى بن عبد الله بن خالد الذهلي، وهو الأكثر. و (والواقفي) بالواو وتقديم القاف على الفاء؛ من ينسب إلى بني واقفٍ بطنٌ في الأوس، وهو: واقف بن امرئ القيس بن مالك بن الأوس، منهم: هلال بن أمية الواقفي، شهد بدراً مع النبي ﷺ، وهو أحد الثلاثة الذين خلفوا، ثم تاب الله عليهم.
