    الجدري والخدري فـ (الجدري) بالجيم والدال المهملة وهما مفتوحتان: سنان بن أبي سنان الدؤلي -ويقال: الديلي- ثم الجدري، قاله محمد بن إسحاق: والجدرة حي من الأزد حلفاء بني الديل بن بكر ابن عبد مناة بن كنانة، سموا بذلك؛ لأنهم بنوا جدار الكعبة، منهم: سعد بن سيلٍ -بسين مهملة وياء معجمة باثنتين من أسفل على مثال جمل-، وأم قصي بن كلابٍ: بنت سعد بن سيلٍ هذا. قال أبو علي: أخرج البخاري لسنانٍ: عن الزهري عنه عن جابر في كتاب الجهاد وغيره. و (الخدري) بخاءٍ مضمومة، من ينسب إلى خدرة، بطنٌ من الأنصار، وهو خدرة بن عوف بن الحارث بن الخزرج، يقال له الأبجر، منهم: أبو سعيد الخدري صاحب رسول الله ﷺ، وغيره.
