    ٣٦١ - أبو الطاهر إسماعيل بن أحمد بن إسماعيل بن أبي الوقار الإيادي الدمشقي الصوفي: سمع بدمشق من أبي طاهر الخشوعي وشيخ الشيوخ أبي الحسن عبد اللطيف بن إسماعيل بن أبي سعد وغيرهما، وبمصر من أبي القاسم هبة الله بن علي البوصيري وغيره، وحدث بدمشق ومصر. لقيته بها وسمعت منه، وكان من ذوي البيوت المشهورة بدمشق، حسن الأخلاق، معاشرا للصوفية، لابسا لباسهم، طارحا للتكلف، فيه لطف وكياسة. وأقام في آخر عمره بالقاهرة متوليا بها المشارفة بالبيمارستان الناصري إلى أن توفي بها، في شهر رمضان سنة "ست وأربعين وستمائة".
