٣٤٧ - وأبو الفضل نِعمة بن عبد العزيز بن هبة الله العسقلاني التاجر يعرف بابن زغيب: مولده سنة "ثمان وثلاثين وخمسمائة" تقديرا. وتوفي بمصر في ثالث عشر المحرم سنة "أربع وعشرين وستمائة". سمع الحافظ أبا القاسم بن عساكر بدمشق وحدث عنه. سمع منه الحافظان أبو محمد عبد العظيم وأبو الخير يحيى القرشي. وأجاز لي جميع مروياته، ولم يتفق لي السماع منه، ودخل بغداد. وذكر في باب "نَظَر" بفتح النون والظاء المعجمة، رجلا واحدا، وفاتَهُ:
