    ٣١٥ - أبو الحسن علي بن النفيس بن أبي منصور بن أبي المعالي البغدادي يعرف بابن المكبر: سمع ببغداد ودمشق وحلب ومصر والإسكندرية من جماعة، وحدث بدمشق ومصر، وكان يسافر من بغداد إلى الإسكندرية مترددا في أخذ خطوط الشيوخ للناس في الإجازات المسيرة على يده، ليس له حاجة ولا بضاعة إلا ذلك وما له قصد سوى الإفادة وبقي على هذا الأمر سنين، فجزاه الله خيرا. آمين، وتوفي ﵀ ليلة السابع عشر من صفر سنة "أربعين وستمائة" بالبيمارستان الناصري بالقاهرة ودفن من الغد بظاهر باب النصر.باب ملوك وباب المهتر والمهير: وذكر في باب "مُلُوك" بضم الميم واللام وآخره كاف جمع مَلِك، رجلين، وفاته:
