٣١٢ - وعمه أبو البركات كتائب بن علي بن حمزة السلمي الجابي الحنبلي يعرف بابن المقصص: سمع أبا محمد عبد العزيز بن أحمد الكتاني وأبا بكر الخطيب وأبا الحسين القاينيودخل أصبهان وسمع منه بها يحيى بن منده وسمع منه عمر الدهستاني بدمشق وكتب عنه الحافظ السلفي في معجم السفر، وسأله عن مولده فقال: ولدت في سنة "أربع وأربعين وأربعمائة". باب مقداد وباب المكبر: وذكر في باب "مِقداد" بكسر الميم وسكون القاف ودال مهملة مكررة:
