٢٢٦ - وأبو الحسن علي بن يوسف بن أبي الحسن بن أبي المعالي الدمشقي التاجر المعروف بابن الصوري:رجل حسن، سافر إلى خراسان ودخل نيسابور فسمع بها من أبي الحسن المؤيد بن محمد بن علي الطوسي وزينب بنت عبد الرحمن الشعرية، والإمام أبي بكر القاسم بن أبي سعد عبد الله بن عمر بن الصفار وروى عنهم بدمشق ومصر، سمعت منه وسألته عن مولده فقال: في شهور سنة "سبع وسبعين وخمسمائة" بدمشق. وتوفي بها يوم الأحد الثامن والعشرين من المحرم سنة "أربع وخمسين وستمائة".
