    ١٥٨ - أبو الحسن شليل بن مهلهل بن أبي طالب اللخمي الإسكندراني التاجر: سمع بدمشق من أبي اليمن الكندي وشيخنا قاضي القضاة أبي القاسم الحرستاني وغيرهما، وأجاز له جماعة، وحدث بثغر الإسكندرية وتوفي بها في صفر سنة "اثنتين وخمسين وستمائة" في رابع عشره. وذكر في باب "سليم" و"سليم" الأول بفتح السين المهملة وكسر اللام جماعة، وقال في "سليم": أما سليم بضم السين وفتح اللام فجماعة، ولم يذكر أحدا قلت: وأما "سليم" بفتح السين المهملة وكسر اللام ففاته فيه:
