    ٢١ - أبي علي محمد بن علي بن البختري الصائغ: من أهل مرو، قدم بغداد وسمع بها من القاضي أبي بكر محمد بن عبد الباقي الأنصاري، وأبي بكر بن الأشقر، وعاد إلى بلده وحدث عنهما، سمع منه شيخنا أبو المظفر عبد الرحيم بن السمعاني، وذكره في معجم شيوخه، وقال: مولده بمرو في سنة "خمس وثمانين وأربعمائة". وتوفي في سنة "خمس أو ست وخمسين وخمسمائة بكشّ". ذكره الحافظ أبو عبد الله بن الدبيثي في تاريخه. وذكر في باب "البَرِيّ" بفتح الباء الموحدة وبعدها راء مهملة، رجلين، وأغفل ذكر:
