    ٢ - الوزير الفاضل أبي الفتح نصر الله: [بن الأثير] فإنه كان فريد دهره، ووجيه عصره، في صناعة الكتابة والإنشاء، وله التصانيف البديعة، والرسائل الصنيعة، ختم به هذا الشأن، وسار ذكره في جميع الأقطاروالبلدان، مولده في أواخر شعبان سنة "ثمان وخمسين وخمسمائة" بجزيرة ابن عمر، وتوفي ببغداد يوم الاثنين التاسع من ربيع الآخر من سنة سبع وثلاثين وستمائة وصلي عليه بجامع القصر، ودفن بمقابر قريش، ذكر ذلك الحافظ أبو عبد الله محمد بن النجار البغدادي ﵀، في تاريخه، وأجاز لي جميعمسموعه ومنثوره ومنظومه.
