    ٦١٩٦ - الشيخ الفاضل قاضي القضاة - عماد الدين علي بن عبد الواحد بـ "دمشق". كان إماما كبيرا، قدم علينا "القاهرة" صحبة العسكر في سلطنة الملك الناصر أحمد. وكان قارئا مجيدا، سمعته يقول: أقرأ القرآن من أوله إلى آخره في أقل من ثلاث ساعات، وثلثي. نزل عن القضاء لولده نجم الدين أحمد، ومات في حياته.واستقرّ نجم الدين قاضي القضاة بـ "دمشق" إلى أن مات، وقد تقدم أحمد في بابه.
