    ٥٦٥٤ - الشيخ الفاضل نصر بن عثمان بن سعيد ابن سمعان بن مسعود ابن سعد بن عمر بن حجّاج ابن قتيبة بنمسلم الباهلي، أبو علي، السمعاني، السمرقندي * ذكره الحافظ عبد القادر القرشي في "الجواهر"، وقال: كان فقيها، فاضلا، حنفيا. يروي عن أبي منصور محمد بن نعيم بن ناعم الفرائضي السمرقندي، ومحمد بن هارون بن عيسى، وغيرهما. ومات بـ "سمرقند" في العشرين (¬١) من ربيع الآخر، سنة إحدى وثمانين وثلاثمائة. هكذا ذكره السمعاني فى باب السمعاني، وذكر أن نصر بن عثمان هذا يقال له السمعاني، نسبة إلى جدّه. وقال الإدريسي: كان فاضلا، ثقة، من أصحاب أبي حنيفة. * * *
