٥٣٠٣ - الشيخ الفاضل مسعود بن أبي مسعود، الإله آبادي، ثم الأورنغ آبادي * ذكره العلامة عبد الحي الحسني في "نزهة الخواطر"، وقال: هو أحد الأفاضل المشهورين. ولد، ونشأ بـ"إله آباد".وسافر للعلم، فقرأ الكتب الدرسيّة على العلامة عبد الباقي بن غوث الإسلام الجونبوري، صاحب "الآداب الباقية". ثم سافر للاسترزاق، فولي الاحتساب بمدينة "أورنغ آباد"، فاشتغل به مدّة. ثم ولي القضاء بـ"أورنغ آباد" في عهد السلطان أورنغ زيب عالمغير الغازى ﵀، فاستقلّ به مدّة عمره. وكان مشكور السيرة في القضاء. مات في عهد بهادر شاه ابن عالمغير المذكور، كما في "محبوب ذي المنن". * * *
