٤٣٠٨ - الشيخ الفاضل محمد بن إسماعيل باني بتي شيخ القراء في "باكستان" * حفظ القرآن صغيرا، جمع القراءات العشر من طريق "الشاطبية"، و"الدرّة"، و"الطيبة" على القارئ الشيخ أبي محمد محي الإسلام، والشيخ شير محمد شَروانىِ. وكان كفيف البصر. هاجر إلى "المدينة المنوّرة"، وجاور فيها سنين طويلة، وأصيب في آخر عمره بشلل نصفي، ومع ذلك لم يترك صلاة واحدة، تفوته في الحرم النبوي الشريف. وكان يكثر من تلاوة القرآن، ويحبّ سماعه من غيره. قال قارئ عليه: شهدت له مجلسا له، قرأ فيه أحد طلّابه سورة البقرة، وآل عمران، والنساء في جلسة واحدة. توفي سنة ١٤٠٧ هـ، ودفن بـ"البقيع". له مؤلّفات كثيرة في القراءات العشر. * * *
