    ٣٩٣١ - الشيخ العالم الفقيه القاضي فضل الرحمن القرشي، البُرْدُوَاني * ذكره العلامة عبد الحي الحسني في "نزهة الخواطر"، وقال: هو أحد العلماء المشهورين. ولد، ونشأ بـ "بردوان". -بفتح الموحدة- بلدة من أعمال "بنغاله". وقرأ العلم على مولانا أمير الله بن سليم الله العظيم آبادي، وعلى صنوه الكبير القاضي غلام سبحان القرشي البردواني، وعلى غيره من العلماء. ثم ولي القضاء بأرض "بنغاله"، وصار أكبر قضاة "الهند" من تلقاء الدولة الإنكليزية، فاستقلّ بها إلى أن أحيل على المعاش. له "كتاب التشييد" بالأدلّة المعقولة والمنقولة بما لا مزيدَ عليه في إبطال كلمة الحقّ للشيخ عبد الرحمن الصوفي اللكنوي. * * *
