٣٦٤٣ - الشيخ الفاضل علي بن تاج الدين بن عبد المحسن القلعي المكيّ * أديب في عصره. ولد، ونشأ بها، وعلت مكانته. وقام برحلة إلى "الشام" و"بلاد الترك" سنة ١١٤٢ هـ، وزار "مصر" سنة ١١٦٠ هـ، ثم سنة ١١٧٠ هـ، وفيها الوزير علي باشا ابن الحكيم، فبالغ هذا في إكرامه، فأقام معه. وعزل الوزير، فنكب القلعي، وسلب كلّ ما يملك، ونفي إلى "الإسكندرية"، فمات فيها. له "ديوان شعر" و"بديعية"، شرحها في ثلاث مجلّدات، منها المجلّد الأول مخطوط في دار الكتب، ورسالة في "علم الرمل". توفي سنة ١١٧٢ هـ * * *
