٣٥٩٢ - الشيخ الفاضل عطاء الرحمن بن عبد الرحمن الطوكي، أحد العلماء الصالحين * ذكره صاحب "نزهة الخواطر"، وقال: ولد ببلدة "طوك" سنة تسع وتسعين ومائتين وألف، وقرأ المختصرات على أساتذة مصره، ثم سافر إلى "لاهور"، وقرأ على مولانا غلام أحمد في المدرسة النعمانية، ثم قدم "رامبُور"، وأخذ عن المولوي ماجد علي المانوي، ثم سافر إلى "دهلي"، وتطبّب على الفاضل الكبير أجمل بن محمود الشريفي، ثم رجع إلى "طوك"، ودرّس بها قليلا. له تعليقات على "حميات القانون". توفي سنة إحدى وثلاثين وثلاثمائة ألف. * * *
